Get the most out of LaserBits.com features and services by making sure your computer's desktop resolution (size) is set at
1024 x 768. This will ensure that your screen will properly display the LaserBits.com site.
Windows 2000, NT, ME, 98
- Click the Start button in the lower left corner of your screen
- Select Settings and click Control Panel
- Double-click Display and select the Settings tab
- Adjust the control in the Desktop Area to 1024 by 768 pixels
- If available, press the Test button (if the screen appears blank when testing, it will return to normal in 5 to 15 seconds)
- Select OK
- Click OK if prompted to re-boot your computer
Windows XP
To change your desktop resolution, click once on your desktop with the right mouse button and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
On the Display Properties window, select the Settings tab.
In the area labeled Screen resolution, drag the arrow (
) to the right until you reach at least 1024 by 768 pixels. Click OK to change your screen resolution.
Depending on your computer configuration, you may be prompted to make a choice between restarting your computer or applying the changes without restarting. It is usually safe to make the changes without restarting.
Macintosh OS X
- To change your screen resolution (size) in Mac OSX, click the Apple button, and select System Preferences...

- Select the Displays icon
- In the list of Resolutions: select 1024 x 768.
Macintosh 9.x
- From the Apple menu, select Control Panels
- You will either have the option Monitors & Sound or Monitor. If the option is Monitors & Sound:
- Open the Monitor icon
- From the list of available resolutions, select the resolution you wish to use
- Your screen resolution will change instantly
- Close the Monitors & Sound window
If the option is Monitors:
- Ensure that the Show pull-down menu option is set to Recommended
- From the list of available resolutions, select the resolution you wish to use
- Your screen resolution will change instantly
- Close the Monitors window
